frantic
Its been a frantic few days. ever since saturday, i've been trying to write that indian IT essay. wasted my sunday cos TQ wanted us to go down at an unearthly 11am for soundchecks and rehearsals. pooey. in the end it was just lots of waiting around for things to happen. we lost to a fantastic group called Verve Enharmonics. their medley for the finals was really impressive. smooth and enjoyable. i found TQ to be a totally learning experience though. cliche it may sound but i did learn and in the process also inspired by the other music lovers by witnessing how much more they may love music than me. well i KOed sunday night when i was supposed to stay up all night to finish that indian IT essay. woke at 9am today and nearly panicked when i realised i had slept the night away. but i managed to finish the essay and make it look nice and academic like hahahaha... i was awfully late for the guest lecture though =x i visited my granny again. NUH is WAY MORE EFFICIENT THAN AH. NEVER EVER SEND YOUR LOVED ONES TO AH. after spending a dreadful 3 weeks going in and out of AH, nothing conclusive was found. no doubt because some incompetent doctor was incharge of a very ill patient. TSK. well, here at NUH just about a week later you get the doctor telling you your options for her and you get cheerful nurses calling "AH MA" in a spritely manner, you get the chemo doc coming down to talk to you and explain very explicitly and clearly what your granny's situation is as well as dish out his professional opinions as to what you should do. CLAP CLAP CLAP for NUH. as for AH i shall not bother to waste anymore words on this horrendous place. TSK. she was so brave today.. ate quite a bit of her jelly and soup. most of the time we people really take many things for granted. when i witnessed how even swallowing and eating has become a problem for her, i suddenly feel very hungry and eager to eat food. she has lived a wonderful life. at 86, her life has been full and exciting and beautiful. i can only pray for her painless exit. and so i pray thus. i shed 2 tear drops as offering for my prayer. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9........... my ah ma is so cute. and she has beautiful fingernails. really well kept. |
