Boogie!!!
Monday, July 25 / 0 comment(s)

I woke up feeling rather moody. Having a horribly big ulcer doesnt help things much. Moped around the house till night time when Yx called me to ask me where I was, to which I replied that I was still home. She was like HUH??? anyway thank goodness for having at least 1 reliable friend who isnt totally distracted by the opposite sex. took the train down to outram mrt to meet Yx and A. hitched a ride down to Duxton Hill to Ts' pub where the party was in mid swing.

Pr and bro were at the pool table, drinking coke. Things were going rather slowly till I persuaded Yx and Pr to go sing with me. of course it was the youngest T who kicked it off singing "open your eyes" Jx did a fantastic rendition of "eyes on me" (what's with all the eyes xD) well once the singing got going things started to heat up and the party gained some momentum.

the high point was of course all the people singing the Happy Birthday (traditional) song (ahahaha) Birthday wishes said. Candle blown out. Cake is cut. *clapclapclap* another hoohaa was the arrival of Lwk!!! a small ruckus when people realised who had come (hahaha) I was once her fan too, many eons ago. To think that I would have the chance to be at the same party as her and even sing her song! so fun so cool =) another high point was the part where we heard Peter sing. I have to say, O-M-Goose. He is... too good. honestly, it is always a wonderful thing to listen to great singing live. man, he is good.

the party came to a point whereby the singing session was halted and disco music was put on. lights went out. and the infra-light-thingy-that-makes-all-white-stuff-turn-luminous came on. BOOGIE NIGHT!!! fantastic music in the house man... I downed 2 glasses of Chivas+Coke and 1 glass of VodkaLime. mmm got a pleasant buzz in my head. that optimum state to be in for dancing. slightly loosened yet not drunk. well did I mention that the music was fantastic??? hahaha I cant say that enough. Must say that the disco songs beat house music hands down, anyday, anytime. if you wanna boogie, put on disco music. way cool!!!

private parties rock for this reason. you know the people there. its small. its full of really cool people who know how to make a party rock and you enjoy it immensely if you let yourself enjoy. I dont know how long we boogied. but quite long I suppose. the neverending disco songs went on and on, song after song. and we boogied =) some peeps had rather weird dance moves and styles ahahaha but cute lah. quite a few good dancers too. I let myself go after a while. I always take a while to warm up. its a good thing, this party... lifted my mood up a lot.

it wasnt until like 4am when everyone got tired and a little buzzed out. I was drinking water like crazy cos I was so thirsty and I wanted to wash out the alcohol as well. quite a few people were drinking water too. the lady bartender plays a solid game of pool. she is so pro... sat down to watch the fantastic shots and also to rest. nothing like a good boogie to give you a workout. everyone else were cooling off, and soon it was time to go home.

went for some prata at jalan kayu with Pr and bro before heading home. 6am. and now I blog. boy, am I tired.
