And several days later...
Things can change in the blink of an eye. Your kid could suddenly say the first word, you could graduate, get married or experience something so intense that life will never be the same again. It is usually a split second that makes reality shift a whole hundred and eighty degrees. Then, of course, there are those things that accumulate over time and take years to manifest itself in you. Finally, there will be things that never change at all. I saw a shooting star last night. It was the first one I have ever seen. For one whole second, it was blazing across the sky and then it disappeared into the darkness. Not that seeing a shooting star changes anything significant, but my memory will never be the same again. I was at a certain seaside dining place in Fisherman's Village when I saw it. My friends (Sher,Shee,Jo and JY) and I were hanging out at that place for the second time, playing silly games with a deck of cards and laughing ourselves silly. We were really tired this time though, tired out from the long day. I had started the day at work (Oh boy, I got a job!!!) which ended early, since I took time out to make it in time to the rehearsal for the show that we were gonna put up for this big DnD event. The show... it went well. Everybody had put so much effort into it. Especially our group, doing an item with a big group is really difficult and tedious. We had to cheoreograph the steps as well, though we had taken most of the steps from the music video (hehe) and then learn and perfect the steps. It was terrible when we found out that our item wasn't recorded because they had forgotten all about recording until the second item. How sad is that =[ The job... is going reasonably well, I don't wanna jinx anything so I won't write much about it. Well, it is my first real job, even if it is just a temp job >_> All I've ever done is teaching tuition, tuition and more tuition for extra allowance. Apparently, this is a major disadvantage now that I'm trying to get myself a proper fulltime job >_< Well, enough on this topic, it is majorly depressing. More about the recent happenings in my story... my eldest uncle passed away. Its been a couple of weeks since then and it was very sudden. Death is actually always sudden, and you can't really be prepared for it but this was really sudden. It was a faint and the next thing we all knew was that he was gone from this place. Oh my poor granny. Somehow, I cant wait for this year to be over. This has been a year plagued with illness and death, what with the bird flu going around as well. I am childishly awaiting the next year since I seem to have this idea in my head that next year is going to be better than this one. Funny how the previous year had seemed particularly lousy and I had been hoping for a better year this year. On a lighter note, RORY IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't really like how the plot went though, the way the writers made her comeback. It was way too sudden and the way Lorelai was waiting for that phonecall was way too pretentious for me to stomach. Nonetheless, I can't wait to see what happens in the next episode. Things should get more exciter since Luke has a daugher apparently. The way this was revealed was also a tad odd in my opinion, but Gilmore Girls is famous for the weirdness. My juniors are into the second round!!!!!!!! of that School Garden Superstar thing (haha) Now that's perky =) |
