David Tao Ze
I'm in love with his voice, his talking voice, his singing voice. His concert renders me speechless because it is too good to put into words. All I can say is, WHERE DID HE LEARN TO SING LIKE THAT??!?!?! He did this special little segment, a medley of a dozen english songs from his time which reflected his musical influences. Bet he got a kick out of it as well, singing all those favourite songs of his. I loved half the songs in the medley, songs my dad listen to, hahaha. His rock is ROCK *rawr* =D and one song touched me and its called Hu Die. and and.... AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH worth every bit of the $85 bucks especially when he walked so near our seats (5th row from the front) when he went down the stage the second time. Singaporeans are weird though, they can stand up and be very high for one song and when its over, just sit down and be very calm =o His crew consisted of quite a few singaporeans. Its a good thing, reflects how our musicians are gaining more recognition and also how our standards are rising to be good enough for big gigs like these. The music director/conductor/pianist was sgrean and so were two of the backup vocalists. The "takeaway" backup girl is a friend of a friend which is so cool cos she plays the er hu sooooooooooooo well. Her dad is an er hu instructor and she has learnt that instrument all her life apparently, which explains why she plays it so well, not to mention that she's quite pretty as well. And she was also in project superstar but wasn't in the top 24, well well, to think that here she is, singing backup for Tao Ze at his concert, touring with him all around Asia. HAHAHA. The guy vocalist sounds incredibly like Tao Ze, so much so that there are times when I'm not sure who's singing really. HAHAHAHA. but he's super good, does the falsetto just as well as Tao Ze can. Anyway, my screen has just turned pink, which means I need a new monitor >_< This is very bad. ARGH. and I must get up in about 6 hours time to go mediacorp cuz my juniors are in for that school garden superstar *rawr* |
