CNY
Its a chinese new year. Lunar new year. new. what's new? so life rambles on. really, what's so new. Humans need things to celebrate about. events to boost morale, flush them with hope, expectations, anticipation and excitment. oh its the new year, things will be different, things will get better, so with the blink of an eye, the passing of a second hand on a clock, the jumping of numbers on a digital one, things change. yeah right. like how scholars say yue fei was guilty of blind loyalty, we humans are guilty of blind everything. we know that nothing really changes. we know it. but we need to give ourselves that element of freshness, that blank sheet of paper to restart, that reset button that game consoles so tantalisingly have. in christianity, we have the cleansing of the sins in our life. upon accepting Him, we are reborn, ie: given a sheet of blank paper and the previous paper magically erased of all errs. we humans just need that. we need to hear it. all is NOT lost. there is hope yet. this is not a condemnation or a criticism of any sort in case it sounds like it. I am a believer, but this is my observation in the ways of human behavior and psychology. i'm not even a psych student roflmao. so i guess, its important for us to celebrate. like a battery recharges, we recharge our minds, buffing up our mental strength to withstand another year's worth of battering. so lets go celebrate. YAY. i watched the I Not Stupid Too over the festive season. all i can say is WOW. 11/10 stars. go watch it. every singaporean must watch. not just because its local and we should support it, but because its so darn good that it beats all the movies out there hands down. HAHAHA. GOGOGO! Jack Neo and the J-team. my CNY this year was pretty good. I have initially thought that I wouldnt have visiting due to deaths of family members, but as it turned out, i did visit both sides of the family. rather pesky though, since everyone asks me what i'm doing now, what job the usual bf and all crap. i swept my way through the various interogations with standard answers so politically correct that i could beat LKY at politics (hahaha, nah i doubt that i can). well at least my political science tutor should be proud of me =x but its good to see everyone and chat with them, uncles aunties, my remaining ah ma. i kinda treasure the chance to talk to them, since i really dont know if it will be the last time i am doing so. oh boy, i'm such a wimp now... sigh... grown ups are wimps. so i'm a half wimp. then of course the yearly new year gathering of me and my sec sch friends, over at E's house... eating pizza (the not-so-young people's food!) and watching tv, later they played some blackjack which i didnt partake in. i left early to go to another gathering at wsls's place. good food (suan pan zi!!!!!!!) and stuff =) they played inbetween for like 2 hours HAHAHA. truly exciting game which is totally dependant on how "good" the dealer is =x i cleaned out my pockets in that scary game and stayed to watch. we were all hooked and played till the end when we were finally pooped out. This is gonna be a busy week... had a show on saturday night. another show on tuesday morning (urgh) and gearing up for the concert of the Li Bros this friday... rehearsals galore =s moo... |
