Not even the weekend

It feels like I just had a weekend, but I didnt.

4 of us peeps (me,jc,jl and gab) went to Mustafa after our practice @ Lws. Jl was gonna stock up on some groceries and I jumped in and both quite a lot of things as well *haha* 'bout $25 worth of stuff man. Jc was incessantly criticising everything I considered buying and I mean everything (in caps).

Afterwhich, we decided to go to Fisherman's Village for some food. We went to the same ol' spot and got the same ol' cards and ordered the same ol' food. Jl ordered something new though; mango chicken, which is really really cool and nice too. We played some card games while waiting for the food, basically, Big 2.

-insert- the wrong call that led to a tiny exchange of smses from a stranger -insert-

It was a really good night. Windy and clear skies, the night was beautiful. You could see sooo many stars and fireballs flying across the sky (jc calls aeroplanes fireballs, ah the world of a kiddo) and lights from the ships out at sea... that is the life!

We were just chatting idly until we left for east coast to join hk at this pub that opens 24/7 and plays repetitive music over and over again (ie jay chou songs). Hk introduced this beer to me, which is now my new favourite beer called erdinger. bye bye killkenny, hello erdinger. Its the sweetest beer I have ever tasted albeit I've only tried less than five types of beer.

More chatting ensued and we played the really fun +1 -1 card game after we ran out of magic tricks to screw up on :3 and then some how or rather, we decided to go and wait for the sun to rise. Which was completely fine, except for the fact that after waiting for an hour or so, the sun decided to sleep in. The only fun thing that happened during that wait was the emergence of the BATAM RAT! yup. This rat swims in from batam and explores east coast park before swimming back to batam. (private joke, incomprehensible to those who were not at the scene)

at which point, hk could only think of breakfast, which we finally did have... at... where else but Macs lol. We had a good breakfast whereby we were all completely stoned. We must have been the only group of people alive at east coast that early in the morning who were under the age of 30. The park was full of people who actually wake up at that atrocious time and have the mood to go jogging or practice tai chi =_=

and so after breakfast, we finally head home but not before arranging to meet for shopping for performance costumes in about 4hours time. I seriously think we were completely crazy but Jc and Jl had already arranged to meet up to get skirts for our upcoming show. I fell asleep upon touching my pillow and woke up too late to go shopping with them *hahaha* but the other 4 people actually kept awake and made it to PS on time *omg*

and in a whole series of events that snowballs, I mysteriously woke up without an alarm clock at 12noon even though I only slept at 8am. I got to Lws at 2pm and watched Hk record his demo. I've never really sat in on a recording all the way and there's so much to learn!!! The looping of the drum beats, the effects you can use on the guitar and vocals... just endless myriad of possibilities. Its a really nice song too... cheery kinda song :)

Afterwhich 4 of us (me, hk, jt and dm) headed out for a late lunch early dinner thingy and decided on marche's. I ordered the seafood fried rice since i was kinda craving for rice but that was a big mistake cuz... there's no way i could finish that HEAP of rice i was served >_< and of course... another round of erdinger!!! gawd... its seriously the first time i've had 2 rounds of beer in a day (of course taking into account that it was past midnight at that pub)

we chatted idly... brokeback mountain, scary movie, jackass... *Shudders at memory of the thumbtack stunt* before heading back to Lws where C dragged me and I dragged Jc out for dinner *lawl* C's tomyam soup was SWEET *haha* jc had to go back for more practice so me and C sat there and chatted some more...

8pm back in Lws. commencement of the QC for our upcoming show at ntu. ran through all items, motions and what not till about 10pm whereby the poor girls were kept back to do more practice since their item was shaky. I tried to sing a few songs but what with the lack of sleep and tiredness, it wasnt a good time to sing *hahaha*

The night nearly didnt end cuz i nearly joined gab, hk and cal for a drink at clark quay or somewhere. but in the end i went home, hitched a ride from wsls to hougang. wsls told us some of his visions and plans for the school and the company which was quite inspiring. i really have a lot to learn and improve on if i am gonna achieve the target he has set for his staff.

its been a really long 2 days but it has been rather inspiring... and its wonderful to know that you are not alone on this road, you have friends who have the same interests the same passion and even more than you have. help is always there to those who ask for it. its great to be part of this one humongous family, bonded not by blood but by a common passion. so rare an aquiantence this is, so precious.

and by george, its not even the weekend yet!

Hi Angela! We should do it again some day with the same people (Mustafa, Fishermen's etc etc). I actually had the good fortune of listening to some of JCs really insane Southpark and other comedy stuff while sending JL back LATE in the morning after a horrific traffic jam along CTE!

I can't believe JC can be so energetic after all that sleep deprivation.

*JC, if you happen to read this*
What planet were you from again? ;)

I'm actually typing this now at this dreadful hour (4AM). Miraculously I'm still awake after almost 40 hours (I think).
