Met up with Anna and Shilin not so long ago... Monday it was... at City Hall's Cafe Cartel. Shilin kept on going on about how the service there has improved tremendously. It was a nice little catching up session. I headed to Lws after that to pick up my library books. Then I caught the 11:15pm screening of The Davinci Code with CL and Gabe. Cineleisure it was... (one day I'll really have to try out the new Cathay cinema at Dhoby Ghuat!)

Movie Review

A* rating. That translates into about 9 out of 10. I think its a good movie with a nice ending. Of course as a reader of the book itself, I did notice many changes and missing parts and the big big change in the ending. However, books and movies are totally different mediums of media, hence changes are justified, especially when the changes made make the movie better as one. The French actress in the movie is really cool, I love her accent. Tom Hanks is always fantastic no matter which movie he does. I must say... the casting is excellent. Every character that I envisioned myself when I read the book has been manifested before my eyes and manifested well too. Well, actually I hadn't imagined that Robert would be a Tom Hanks type but after watching the movie, I have to say that Tom was an excellent choice for the role of RL. An ordinary man, a geek, a professor who gets dragged into some huge conspiracy... Tom Hanks looks and plays the part so well.

History and the unknown has always intrigued humans. Dan Brown is certainly very creative to have created such a story.
